Designing the space between.
Space. Light. Relationship.
The studio
ArcSalt is an independent design studio grounded in the belief that design grows from the landscape.
The terrain, light, and character of a place guide what takes shape. Inspired by mid-century modern design, we consider indoors and out as one continuous experience, giving equal attention to what we create and what we leave open.
Breeze blocks
A love of breeze blocks.
We create custom block designs and help recreate vintage patterns using tools such as 3D scanning and digital modeling, carrying the ideas we love into new spaces.

Lineage
Learning to see the space within.
While volunteering at Taliesin West in Arizona, I worked in the archives. Wright’s humor and personality came alive in those pages. Working in the buildings and sharing lunches with people who knew him changed how I understood space and place. That experience still shapes how I look at a place: its light, its proportions, the movement between rooms and gardens, and the feeling of being there.
About the practiceAn eye for the enduring
Preserve the legends.
Keep the ideas alive.
A roofline that offers shelter. A screen that opens a view. Materials that hold a memory. We look closely at the relationships that make great design feel whole, and the original character worth carrying forward.

The images are a visual introduction to ArcSalt's interests, not a claim of completed client projects.

Where is ArcSalt based?
ArcSalt is based in Golden, Colorado, and welcomes projects across Denver and the Front Range. Projects farther afield can be considered individually, depending on the scope and opportunities for collaboration.
Do you only work on mid-century modern homes?
Mid-century modern design is an important influence. We also welcome like-minded collaborations in other settings, beginning with the landscape and the qualities that make each place distinctive.
Can ArcSalt help if I already have a contractor or architect?
Yes. ArcSalt can contribute concepts, material ideas, planting, lighting, and a shared vision for the space, working alongside the architect, designer, contractor, or craftsperson already involved.
How do I start a project?
Use the project inquiry form or email info@arcsalt.com. Tell us where the project is, what you have in mind, and what you would like to preserve or change. A few photographs, rough dimensions, and your preferred timing are helpful; an idea does not need to be fully formed to start a conversation.
What is the Field page?
Field gathers observations, images, and notes about buildings, landscapes, plants, salvage, and making. It offers a closer look at the details and ideas that inform ArcSalt. Follow @salt.arc on Instagram for more from the studio.

How would you like your space to feel?
A quieter courtyard, a more welcoming room, a breeze-block screen, or a connection between house and garden. Bring your ideas and what you value about the place. We can explore the possibilities together.
